Distracted Driving in the News

On the heels of Governor O'Malley signing Jake's Law, Distracted Driving in Maryland is finally getting the attention it deserves, and MAJ is leading the charge in spreading the message to teens across the state.  MAJ members have presented with Joel Feldman (founder of EndDD.org) and Susan Yum (Jake's mom) at Stevenson University and Bryn Mawr School for Girls, and the New Lawyers are reaching out to schools in Anne Arundel, Montgomery, and Baltimore Counties to start.  Miguel Palmeiro of the Law Office of Miguel Palmeiro, LLC and Stacy McCormack of the Jaklitsch Law Group are coordinating the Anne Arundel and Montgomery County outreach.  Jason Plotkin of the Pinder Legal Team has reached out to several Baltimore County High Schools, and his firm has even established scholarships at three of the schools.  Also, to the extent she is available Susan Yum has agreed to be part of our presentations!
